A Student is eligible to write the University Examination Only he secures 75% Attendance during the Semester. Condonation of Shortage of Attendance is Up to 10%. So the Students Securing not less than 65% can be granted to write the Examinations, but not less than that. The Students will be promoted to next year, if he/she has secured not less than 35% marks in the Externals Examinations and not less than 40% marks collectively in Internals and End Term Examinations. To be promoted from First Year to Second Year, every Student must Secure 28 Credits Out of 56 Credits in the First Year.

A student after securing admission shall complete the B.Tech. programme in a minimum period of four academic years (8 semesters), and a maximum period of eight academic years (16 semesters) starting from the date of commencement of first year first semester, failing which student shall forfeit seat in B.Tech course. Each student shall secure 160 credits (with CGPA ≥ 5) required for the completion of the under graduate programme and award of the B.Tech. degree. 3.2 UGC/ AICTE specified definitions/ descriptions are adopted appropriately for various terms and abbreviations used in these academic regulations/ norms, which are listed below.
